Second nature verpakkingsdoos thuis

Daily household life has many tasks, but one of the most time-consuming and routine tasks is undoubtedly doing the laundry. Fortunately, at Second Nature we have developed a revolutionary solution to simplify your washing routine and make it more sustainable: our Laundry Sheets, also known as laundry strips or detergent sheets.

What are Wax Strips?

Wax strips are compact, ultra-concentrated forms of laundry detergent produced in a strip or sheet form. They consist of a thin layer of concentrated detergent that dissolves easily in water during the washing process. This innovative form of detergent has many advantages, including simple use and dosing, less plastic waste, and it is often cheaper than liquid detergent or capsules.

Why Second Nature Laundry Sheets?

Second Nature Laundry Sheets , or detergent sheets, are not only environmentally friendly, but also safe for your clothes. They are made from biodegradable ingredients that work great, dissolve without residue, and are usable in both hot and cold water. They work in all washing machines and are also perfect for hand washing. Whether you have colored, white, wool or silk laundry, our laundry sheets are safe and effective.

How do you use wax strips?

Using our laundry sheets is easy. You simply place the wax strip at the bottom of the washing drum before adding your laundry and spin the laundry as you normally would. The wax strip will completely dissolve during the washing process, leaving your laundry clean without the hassle of dosing liquid detergent. Our wax strips are also perfect for hand washing and are suitable for all types of textiles.

Second Nature Wax Strips vs. Wax Pods

In the world of sustainable washing, there are several options to consider, and two of these options are wash pods and wash strips. While both offer alternatives to traditional detergents, there are some key differences to note.

Wash pods, while easy to use, are typically packaged in plastic, which can have a negative impact on the environment. On the other hand, wax strips are specially designed with durability in mind. They come in biodegradable packaging, helping to reduce plastic waste.

In addition, wax strips are ultra-concentrated, meaning they take up less space and are easier to use. They are 100% vegan and free of harmful chemicals, making them a more environmentally friendly choice than many laundry pods.

In terms of effectiveness, wax strips provide powerful cleaning, and can be used on all types of fabrics and colours, while at the same time contributing to a more sustainable future.

Laundry Sheets vs. Washing Powder

In the context of sustainability, the differences between washing strips and washing powder are less significant than when you compare them with, for example, liquid detergent or washing pods. That said, there are definitely differences worth noting! First of all, compactness is emphasized: our 40 laundry sheets, which are good for 40 washes, fit in a compact box of 26 cm x 2.9 cm x 17.2 cm. With washing powder, on the other hand, you quickly talk about a medium-sized box that contains 3 kg of powder for 40 washes.

Then there are major differences in the ingredients. Our sheets are hypoallergenic, contain no plastic, are 100% vegan and free of parabens, palm oil, phosphate, chlorine, ammonia and acetic acid. Many regular washing powders cannot meet these standards.

Second Nature wax strips are Detergent and Fabric Softener in one

Finally, our laundry sheets offer a double function: they serve as both a detergent and a fabric softener. This is a unique feature that you will not find in traditional washing powders.
